METL AGRI UGANDA LTD is a fully integrated agricultural, agro-processing, manufacturing and trading company headquartered at Plot 11-16, Spire Road, Industrial Park, P.O Box 7089, Jinja, Uganda. From our base in Jinja, we source, process, package and distribute a wide range of agricultural commodities and finished products.
Our work spans the entire value chain — from smallholder farmer partnerships in rural Uganda to containerised shipments reaching buyers in the Middle East, Europe and Asia. We believe Ugandan agriculture deserves world-class standards, and our team is committed to delivering them.
Today we work with over 4,500 smallholder farmers, operate modern processing and packaging facilities, and serve customers in more than 20 countries.

Our Story
2008
Started as a small Ugandan agricultural sourcing operation connecting local farmers to regional buyers, with a clear mission to add value at every step of the chain.
2012
Opened our first agro-processing plant in Jinja, focused on cleaning, grading, drying and packaging grains, pulses and oilseeds for both domestic and export markets.
2016
First international shipments to East African and Middle Eastern markets, establishing our trading division and laying the groundwork for our global reach.
2019
Invested in automated packaging lines, multi-format bagging and palletisation systems serving both domestic retailers and export clients in retail-ready formats.
2022
Achieved ISO 22000 and HACCP certification, opening doors to European and Asian buyers and confirming our commitment to internationally recognised food safety.
2025
Today METL AGRI operates across East Africa with partners in the Middle East, Europe and Asia, exporting to 27 destinations and processing over 10,000 tonnes annually.
